The Story Behind Kat Parker Designs: How One Tumbler Started Everything

Kat Parker Designs didn’t begin with a grand plan or a business blueprint. It started with one tumbler I thought I could “decorate a little.” That was my first mistake. Epoxy has a personality, glitter multiplies when unsupervised, and suddenly I was knee-deep in a new hobby.

Somewhere between the accidental sparkle storms and convincing epoxy to behave, I realized I loved making tumblers—specifically ones that refused to look like anyone else’s. People kept asking for “one like that… but different,” and that’s when it clicked: I’m not a mass-production person. I’m a one-of-a-kind maker.

Kat Parker Designs grew from curiosity, caffeine, and stubborn creativity. Now every cup I make is handcrafted, unique, and created with the kind of detail big-box stores only dream about. Each tumbler gets its own attitude, its own look, and yes—its own pep talk from me during the process.

So that’s the story: one tumbler, one moment of inspiration, and a whole lot of “let’s see what happens.”
And honestly? It’s been the perfect accidental adventure.
